Frequently Asked Questions

Registration Questions

What is a crew?

A crew consists of four participants who complete the event together. Crews travel from challenge to challenge, earn points, collect Passport to Safety stamps, and compete for prizes and bragging rights.

Can I register as an individual?

Yes. Individual registrations are available for those who would like to participate without registering a full crew.

What’s included?

Registration includes participation in event activities and challenges, a Passport to Safety, food and beverages, live music, networking opportunities, and eligibility for prizes and raffle drawings.

What is included with the VIP Upgrade?

Recharge in the VIP Lounge with premium drinks, extra perks, and a place to kick back between challenges. You’ll also get exclusive access to a meet and greet with Blackwater Railroad Company—because every great summer event deserves a backstage moment.

Can I upgrade later?

Yes, you can upgrade to a VIP pass online anytime or in-person during check-in.

Event Questions

Where do proceeds go?

Proceeds support the Alaska Safety Alliance Training Scholarship Program, which helps Alaskans pursue training and education that lead to careers in Alaska’s high-demand industries.

What is the Passport to Safety and how does it work?

The Passport to Safety is your guide to the event. Participants use it to track challenge participation, collect stamps, earn points, and qualify for prizes and raffle entries throughout the day.

Do I need golf experience?

Not at all. No golf experience is required, and many activities have little or nothing to do with golf. The event is designed for participants of all skill levels and backgrounds.

What should I wear?

Dress comfortably for an afternoon outdoors. We recommend casual, weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable footwear suitable for walking between challenge locations.

What if it rains?

The event will proceed as planned in light rain. We encourage participants to bring a rain jacket, waterproof layer, or umbrella just in case.
