Alaska Workforce Convening 2.0
The Business Education Compact (BEC) invites you to an annual in-person gathering at O’Malley’s On The Green. Join us for this great opportunity to network and see your BEC Zoom colleagues “In Real Life.”
Building on the success of last year’s Alaska Workforce Convening hosted by the Alaska Workforce Investment Board (AWIB), Alaska Workforce Convening 2.0 is the focal point of this year’s in-person Alaska Business Education Compact (BEC) meeting.
This half-day gathering will showcase the progress made since the 2023 event and set the stage for the next phase of Alaska’s Workforce Future. By reuniting key stakeholders—educators, state officials, regional and Alaska Native organizations, and industry leaders—this event will provide opportunities for collaboration through presentations, work sessions, and networking. Alaska Workforce Convening 2.0 will also set a framework for ongoing dialogue through the BEC monthly forum, ensuring long-term partnerships that address workforce challenges across Alaska’s industries.
Hosted by Alaska Safety Alliance (DBA Alaska Workforce Alliance), the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development, and the Alaska Workforce Investment Board.
Join us on the second Wednesday of each month from 8:00 am – 9:30 am for the BEC meeting.
The BEC takes a summer break in July and holiday break in December (no meetings).
